Each year, Friends Together needs more and more funds to just meet the need in our communities. In 1996, our operating budget was $75. Last year our operating budget grew from mid $300,000 to just over $350,000. The need for support during a cancer journey is growing. Not only are more people in need, but the cost of healthcare also continues to skyrocket.

You may ask, could Friends Together simply hold steady with our operating budget? Yes. But that would mean saying no to people in need. Imagine you or your loved one being told they have cancer and there is treatment…but they do not have the means to get to frequent treatment appointments. Sometimes, when that is the case, the patient is forced to decline treatments. Now magine having to say no to lifesaving treatment because you don’t have a way to get to the cancer center. No one should have to make that choice.

With Friends Together, no one has to make that choice. We are here. We plan to be here for the long run. That way, when you, your beloved neighbor, aunt, or child are told there is treatment available, you can all say yes – I want to survive.
